The CIM is the premier event where metrology intersects with science, industry and quality infrastructure organisations.

This 22nd edition delivered another dynamic 4-day program, featuring parallel sessions tackling global challenges. Over 200 presentations covering oral and poster sessions, along with round tables, workshops, a short course and a variety of social events, the CIM continues to be a hub of cutting-edge discussions and networking opportunities.

18 DIFFERENT ORAL SESSIONS

Each sessions are named S1 to S18. Each presentation lasted 15 minutes including 5 minutes for Questions/Answers. For a better overall organisation, every oral sessions started and ended at the same time. The oral presentations took place in dedicated conference rooms.

2 POSTER SESSIONS

Again, a dedicated poster session was introduced to CIM2025. Posters were displayed next to the conference rooms. That edition again, two time slots were dedicated for the poster presentations on the 1st day and 3rd day.

Prior to the poster session, authors were encouraged to pitch their poster in our ‘Poster area’ in order to attract more experts to their poster.

WORKSHOP QI-DIGITAL

Metrology in the Digital Transformation of the international Quality Infrastructure

At the morning of the first day of CIM2025, PTB, together with its Partners from the QI-Digital initiative, was organising a workshop gathering experts, stakeholders and all other interested colleagues from academia, metrology institutes, and industry.



SHORT COURSE (NEW)

This Short Course was a new presentation format that was presented by Laurent VINSON from COFRAC with Marc E. Himbert - LE CNAM. Ensuring the traceability in measurements is one of the benefits that every user can receive when involving an accredited structure in his process of measurement or testing. Indeed, ISO/IEC 17025 and all other related standards require to carefully guarantee that any critical operation involving measurement fulfills the requirements establishing unambiguously the traceability to the International system of units SI, if possible, or to internationally consensual references outside this scope. One has to deal with technical and documentary aspects. Many tools may be used, for instance interlaboratory comparisons, etc.
