📒 CONFERENCE PROGRAMME
The CIM is where the metrology community: science, industry, universities and quality infrastructure comes together to shape how the world measures and verifies.
This 23rd edition unfolds over 4 days, with parallel sessions addressing today's global challenges: 200+ oral and poster presentations, 5 round tables, workshop on Quantum technologies, a short course on Food Metrology, and a full calendar of networking events.
Below, you'll find the short programme and the full conference schedule ⤵️
Mastering industrial measurement is an imperative when making production-related decisions: threshold exceedance, scrapping, qualification... Critical stakes – quality, safety and regulatory compliance – depend on this mastery, which implies a minimum shared culture of Metrology among diverse professions.
The ISO 10012 offered industry a guide often reduced to operational management of measuring equipments. But since its major revision of February 2026, it has moved away from a purely operational viewpoint and aligned itself with managerial logic as Quality in ISO 9001. By taking a fresh look at the overall management of “Measurement”, it directly challenges us about the identity and role of Metrology within the company, at a time when so many stakes depend on it.
- What is the exact scope of ISO 10012:2026? For which audiences?
- What are the differences between the former and the newest version?
- Why is there tension between this standard and ISO/IEC 17025, the standard for testing and calibration laboratories?
- What impact for a company wishing to comply with it? Is the industrial world ready for this?
This roundtable will attempt to answer these questions and help you see things clearly!
